SIPS 2022 kicks off, socializing-wise, with a no-host get-together from 5pm on Sunday June 26 in The Clubhouse section of a large pup called The Sticky Wicket (as in cricket — they don’t call it British Columbia for nothing). We don’t have exclusive use of the space, but if folks show up in a reasonably timely manner, we will take it over.  Check out https://strathconahotel.com/venue/clubhouse/. They have a full range of beverages with and without alcohol and also offer a wide variety of pub foods. The main part of the Sticky Wicket often has a decent band, and there is a pretty good dance floor.  The Sticky Wicket is part of the Strathcona Hotel and is located a block or so from the Victoria Conference Centre at 919 Douglas St​reet.

We are also planning a conference dinner, scheduled for Tuesday evening of the conference at 6:30 pm. The dinner will be at the Old Spaghetti Factory, 703 Douglas Street. In-person registrants are automatically signed up for the dinner, but please let us know if you won’t be able to join us.
