Lunch directions

The school of psychology (“Polo Psicologia” in the map) is located within the “Portello” area. The Portello divided in two by the Piovego canal. The school is at the north of the canal. The area is full of bars, small restaurants and take-away and food should not be a problem. In the map we numbered the closest ones to the school. Bars offer a large variety of foods: from sandwiches to salads but also more complex dishes such as pasta or meat. Usually, all bars are ready with vegetarian and vegan options. In the area there is also the university cafeteria (“mensa” in the map): the full lunch costs 8 euro and the light lunch 6 euros.

Numbers 16 to 31 take you to the south side of the Piovego canal. There, the majority of bars are along both sides of “via Portello”. If you cross the canal, we recommend you not to go too far: the lunch break is short. In spring and summer, many people stop eating along the canal, on the stairs that give access to the water, facing the ancient Venetian gate and bridge: Porta Portello (or Porta di Ognissanti).
